I have that one one tape. I have limited exposure to 84 but my favorite has allways been 4-1-84. The thing about 84 that turns me off is the combination of the sound of Brent's keyboards and them being so prominant in the mix. Plus not only does pretty much the whole band sound a little run down ( imo ) but some of the mixes ( particularily vocals ) seem kinda weird to me.

And let me just go on record as saying I have NEVER been a fan of all the shenanigans Healy pulled with vocals in the mid 80's trying to make things more trippy or trying to pretend he was in the band or whatever motive he had.

I was all ready to give a listen and it won't play. Which brings me to a question. Does anyone else ever have shows that won't stream? Sometimes I'll go for one and it won't play at all then I'll go to another and it starts no problem

it's definitely brent heavy...

and i know what you mean re healy. that said, sometimes at the shows the tricks he played had a very cool effect; at other times just annoying.

I am missing the years 1965 - 2007 from my Dead collection.

71- i have around 5 shows from 71 and they are great but for the most part this is my least favorite year outside of 92-95.

Other then that I listen to all the other years pretty much evenly.
